The Pasadena Museum of History (PMH) welcomes historian and author Michael Logan, author of “Exploring Pasadena: The Original Busch Gardens,” to a presentation and book signing event on Friday, September 30 from 7 p.m.

Adolphus Busch, president of the Anheuser Busch Brewing Association, started the spectacular Busch Gardens in Pasadena in 1906, which captivated visitors from the day it opened to the public until the attraction closed in 1938.

With terraced hills, waterfalls and ponds, miles of scenic trails and enchanting fairy-tale statuary, the original Busch Gardens was one of Southern California’s first mega-parks and tourist attraction. world famous.

In 2001, Logan teamed up with fellow Pasadena resident, the late Gary Cowles, to launch the most comprehensive garden research ever. They co-organized a popular exhibition at the PMH to celebrate the centenary of the garden.

Now, after an 18-year journey into the history and lore of this nearly forgotten treasure, Logan is back – this time for an in-person presentation – celebrating the release of his groundbreaking 200-page book. PMH welcomes him for another fascinating presentation on this far-reaching research and exploration in the original Busch Gardens in Pasadena.
