Somerset County Flat Book published and available for purchase

The Penn State Extension in Somerset County with Mapping solutions announced the release of the recently published Somerset County Plat Book.

Flat books are created on a county basis to show land ownership and identify parcels 10 acres and larger. The very first 4-H organized dish book in Somerset County was published in 1962 and has been reprinted every 4-5 years since.

The books will be sold to surveying companies, renewable resource companies, local government officials, real estate companies, agricultural groups, the general public/landowners, potential homeowners or neighbors, hunters, foresters, personnel in the wood and oil industry, emergency services and many others who could benefit from this information. Updated edition includes information on Somerset County’s 4-H and Extension programs, updated county government directory, trail map, county road map, town maps and much more .

Proceeds from book sales will benefit the Somerset County 4-H program and support local 4-H clubs. The 2022 Somerset County Plat book is available for purchase at Penn State Extension in Somerset County, 6024 Glades Pike, Suite 101 in Somerset, or contact the local 4-H club.
